Dear Members and Friends of the RMIT Occasional Choral Society,
It is with great pleasure that I announce the sixth iteration of the ROCS Occasional Choral Composition Competition will take place in 2024 as a part of ROCS’ Silver Jubilee Celebrations.
The ROCCC is a triennial choral composing competition founded in 2007 and encourages the creation and performance of new choral works by up and coming composers.
After a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the sixth iteration of the ROCCC will be a long awaited chance for new composers to compete for the $250 prize, and to have their works performed by ROCS, and have their work published as a part of the ROCCC 2024 songbook.
The competition entry period begins at 12:00am on 1 July 2023 Australian Eastern Standard Time, and concludes at 11:59pm on 31 May 2024 Australian Eastern Standard Time.
