Would you like to know how to maintain your bicycle?
Would you like to know how to repair those little things to keep your bike on the road?

The Basic Bicycle Maintenance Course (offered by the Cycling Club in conjunction with the Bundoora Bicycle Users Group) will teach you the following:
Identity and purpose of a bicycle's components
Fault diagnosis
Assessment of viability/wear of consumable parts (brakes, tyres, chains, cables)

Over the 6 one-hour sessions you will learn such specific tasks as:
Changing a tyre
Repairing a puncture
Adjusting brakes
Cleaning and lubrication
Cable replacement
Gear tuning
Bicycle fitting

It doesn't matter if you don't have a bike - we have some for you to work on.
(It's probably better to learn on a bike that you won't be riding home that day anyway.)
All you have to do is turn up (in clothes that can get dirty AND WITH CLOSED TOE SHOES) and want to learn.
We'll arrange the rest.

Cost:
RMIT Cycling Club Members - FREE
RMIT Students - $20
All Others - $60

Training is provided by a professional, trained bicycle mechanic who has many years experience in both repairing bicycles, and teaching people how to repair them.

All welcome. Reservations essential.
