She Bang #2: Free Bicycle Maintenance Workshops for Women* (presented by Wocle)

For RMIT Ride to Work Day on 12 October, RMIT Link as part of the She Bang series will host 4 bicycle workshops for Women* The workshops will be run by Beck Pope from Wocle – a new female owned and operated bicycle service in Melbourne.

Registrations are essential.

The workshops will only be 20 minutes of your time but give skills to last a lifetime:

Workshop 1. How to use a bicycle tube repair kit workshop – 9am

In this session you will receive a free bicycle tube repair kit (valued at $12) and will be taken through the kit’s contents and how to use them.

Workshop 2. How to use the RMIT Bike Hub repair station – 9.30am

In this session you will learn the names and uses for each of the tools on the bicycle repair station. You will receive a one-page information sheet on the tools.

Workshop 3. How to use a bicycle tube repair kit workshop – 11am

In this session you will receive a free bicycle tube repair kit (valued at $12) and will be taken through the kit’s contents and how to use them.

Workshop 4. How to use the RMIT Bike Hub repair station – 11.30am

In this session you will learn the names and uses for each of the tools on the bicycle repair station. You will receive a one-page information sheet on the tools.

Between 10am – 11am there will be an opportunity to ask service questions about your bicycle and take a tour around the new RMIT Bike hub, which has secure bicycle parking, showers, lockers, bicycle related vending machine. We can also show you the process of gaining access to the hub, which is free for the RMIT community.
