Boeing Club Grants

FUND AN ACTIVITY FOR YOUR RMIT STUDENT CLUB, SOCIETY OR ASSOCIATION WITH A BOEING CLUB GRANT.

Note: from here forward the word Club shall be taken to mean Club, Association or Society.

HOW TO APPLY: Complete this application form 

CLOSING DATE: Applications open all year, however, it's recommended you apply about 2 months before your activity. Applications will not be accepted after the event has occurred.

VALUE
- up to $2000
- Clubs may apply for multiple grants in any calendar year but the total value of all grants will not exceed $2000 per year.
- Any single grant will not exceed 50% of the total cost of the event, activity or project.

ABOUT
Boeing offers grants to RMIT student clubs with interests, activities or membership in disciplines relevant to Boeing. Boeing Club Grant money can be used for events, activities or projects that provide club members with developmental opportunities such as (but not exclusively) seminars, workshops, industry networking events, club projects and conferences, etc.

To be successful, your application should:
1) show that the proposed activity supports RMIT students’ experience such as orientation, belonging, student transition, mobility, etc.
2) and/or provide students with an opportunity to access vacation employment, internships or graduate employment, and
3) demonstrate how RMIT’s and Boeing’s reputations will be enhanced by your proposed activity.

ELIGIBILITY
RMIT University student clubs whose area of interest, objectives and/or membership are of significance or merit to Boeing may apply for these grants. These include:
- Advanced Textile Materials
- Aerospace, Aviation, Mechanical, Automotive and Manufacturing Engineering
- Computer Science and Information Technology
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Engineering Technology
- Mathematics and Statistics
- Mechatronics & Sustainable Systems Engineering
- Systems Support Engineering

FUNDING
- The maximum funding available is $2000 per club per calendar year
- Boeing Club Grants will not exceed 50% of total event/activity costs
- Clubs may apply for multiple grants in any calendar year but the total value of all grants will not exceed $2000 per year.
- Payment of Boeing Club Grants will be by bank transfer to the official RMIT University, RUSU Club & Societies bank account OR RMIT Connect/Student LIfe Club bank account.
- The Boeing Club Grant contribution is to be acknowledged at the event, e.g. in posters, promotional material, Facebook, etc.

WHAT WILL BE FUNDED
- Boeing Club Grant grants can be used for the payment of specific product and service costs associated with a social/networking/industry engagement event such as venue hire, guest speakers, event production equipment and technicians, event promotional material, catering (excluding alcohol), etc.
- Events included in RUSU club Annual Activity Plan approved by the club executive are preferred.
- The Boeing Club Grants are NOT for clubs physical equipment/raw materials/parts, etc.

SELECTION
The selection panel reserves the right to alter the funding limits at any time, and to exercise discretion in the awarding of grants. Priority will be given to applications that demonstrate one or more of the following:
- enhance the student academic experience.
- increase interaction between domestic and international students.
- involve links with employers and industry representatives.
- involve women and indigenous students.
- demonstrate how the reputation of RMIT and Boeing will be enhanced by the proposed activity.
- have goals that mesh with Boeing’s university relations strategic directions and priorities which include:
- strengthen the Boeing brand, visibility, reputation and presence
- develop critical skills for the workforce of today…and tomorrow
- successfully attract and retain talent for aerospace
- leverage R&D for growth and productivity
- support Boeing Australia initiatives
- support high-quality education and academic success
- enhance Boeing's reputation as an employer/partner of choice
- strengthen community and stakeholder relations.
