Waterski and Wakeboard Club

Waterski and Wakeboard Club

RMIT Waterski Wakeboard club is one of the greatest social and sporting clubs at RMIT. No previous experience required.

This sport is fun and easy to pick up - and there's no better feeling than gliding across the top of the water. When you're not having a board or a ski you can sit back and enjoy the warm weather either in the boat or on the bank having a drink and mingling among other RMIT members and students.

We run many different types of trips (day trips, overnight trips, 3 - 4 day camping trips) which are usually held along with other universities, with up to 150 people attending. So when it comes to nightfall there is plenty of social atmosphere among the crowd. There are also additional social events including our famous Uni ball.

The club is in possession of new 2014 Malibu MXZ22 (fully loaded) boat and provides all equipment so all you need to do is bring yourself (and a tent on the camping trips). Skiiers and boarders leveling from beginner to novice are all welcomed! We cater for all types of experience levels.

We ski and wakeboard all year round, travelling to locations all over Victoria including the Murray River (Yarrawonga and Bundalong), Hazelwood Pondage (Heated Lake), Nagambie Lakes, Lake Eppalock, Lake Glenmaggie and Lake Eildon. This club has it all - an exciting and challenging activity to take part in as well as a huge social calendar.
