Touch Football

Touch Football

Touch Football is a fast, skillful and exciting sport that has developed a huge following in Australia and at RMIT University.

In Victoria, touch football is growing rapidly and there are now extensive summer and winter competitions all over Melbourne.

In 2018 RMIT Touch Football Club has a number of different teams, ranging from experienced touchers to those just learning the sport! Our winter competition commences in early May, where we will be entering mixed teams on a Monday night at JJ Holland Park, Kensington and on Wednesday nights the club participates in a competition at Fawkner Park, South Yarra, entering in mixed and womens divisions.

Before the commencement of the winter season we hold fortnightly training sessions held on Sunday afternoons at Fawkner Park. These sessions are a good opportunity to get to know other members of the club and brush up on some touching skills.

At RMIT Touch football Club we like to keep things social and we have a great range of events throughout the year. These include trivia nights, pub crawls, barefoot bowls days and awards nights. RMIT touch also participates in annual touch football tournaments that are played in Wagga Wagga, Yass and Sale and as a member we encourage you to become involved in these.

If you are enrolled at RMIT, you also have the opportunity to try out for the RMIT University Games (Southern University Games (SUG) and Australian University Games (AUG) teams. This is one of the best events of the year where you have a chance to represent RMIT against other universities.

So if you go to RMIT or simply just enjoy touch football, come on down and have a game with us. It's a great way to meet new people whilst keeping fit.
