The RMIT University Kendo Club provides students and staff the opportunity to practice the art of Kendo in a safe and structured environment.

Description

The RMIT University Kendo Club is affiliated with the Victorian Kendo Renmei (VKR), the Australian Kendo Renmei (AKR) and Federation of International Kendo (FIK). Club members will thus be eligible to compete at the state, national and world level. In addition to this all grades attained by members will be recognized internationally.

The RMIT University Kendo Club was established in 2015 and aims to provide students and staff of RMIT University as well as members of the general public the opportunity to learn and practice the art of Kendo in a safe and structured environment.

The RMIT University Kendo Club will strive to provide all of its members with an opportunity to achieve their individual goals through intense training sessions.

COVID-19
All participants are required to follow the club's Covid policies.
This includes but is not limited to wearing masks at all times while at training and maintaining social distancing.

When
Beginners:
Classes for new members begin on Saturday July 24, 2021.
2pm-5pm

Where
Beginners:
Classes for new members will be held at the Bundoora campus sports centre in the multi-purpose room above the gym.

2021 Club Membership Fees
Beginner (Student) - $75
Beginner (Non Student) - $125
Senior (Student) - $125
Senior (Non Student) - $175
Note: All membership fees do not cover the national and state governing body fees.

Competitions and Gradings
Competitions and Gradings are held regularly throughout the year.
