The Old Paradians Football Club was formed in 1929 as a member of the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA). The club consists of four teams, a seniors and reserves that currently play in Division 2, an Under 19s team, and a Thirds team which competes in the VAFA Thirds Competition. Our junior affiliated club, Parade St Damians, competes in the Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL).
Since its formation, the club has competed in the VAFA at various levels, winning premierships in almost every grade. The most recent premiership was in 2015, with our most recent grand final appearance in 2018, a year when all teams made the finals.
Our facilities are widely known as being some of the best in the competition. We have extensive use of the Parade College facilities, which include several football ovals and a gym. Our social rooms are also the envy of most clubs in the VAFA.
The club prides itself on being a family-orientated, and community-minded club, welcoming footballers of all levels, and non-football people from all backgrounds. We promote a strong culture of inclusivity with Parade College, and will strive to do so with RMIT.
Our Senior Coach, Phil Plunkett has a wealth of football experience, guiding Heidelberg to three successive Division 1 premierships in the Northern Football League, followed by Bundoora in the same division and league.
The Old Paradians Football Club competes in Division 2 of the VAFA.
The Old Paradians Football Club is located at Parade College in Bundoora. Our summer training facilities are at the Naughtin Oval at the rear of Parade College, with regular season training and matches at our main ground, which is the Garvey Oval.
