Cheer and Dance Club

The RMIT Cheer and Dance Club represent RMIT in both Cheerleading and Dance at state, national, and international competitions. All sporting backgrounds are encouraged; we cater to absolute beginners to elite athletes.

Our cheerleading teams include both coed and all-girl cheerleading, ranging from levels 1 to 4. Our dance teams include Pom, Jazz, Lyrical, and Hip Hop. Join us in 2023 to be part of an inclusive, supportive, and fun sporting community!

IMPORTANT NOTE!
All athletes interested in joining our club must tryout on the allocated days as advertised by us. Please do NOT purchase a club membership, or any other form of purchase through this web page until you have attended a tryout and have received a placement email. This page, plus our social media, will be updated to keep you informed when we are open for new members. We will have intakes twice a year, once at the beginning of semester 1, and once at the beginning of semester 2.

Dance
Dance teams open to new members: Prem Jazz, Open Hip Hop, and Prem Hip Hop.
Dates and times:
Hip Hop (both open and prem) will be held on the 25th of July 8.00pm - 9.30pm.
Jazz will be held on the 27th of July 7.15pm-8.30pm.

Cheer
Cheer teams open to new members: Level 1, Level 1/2, and Level 3/4.
Dates and times (you only need to attend one of these days):
Friday 28th of July:
Beginner 7-9pm
Beginner-Intermediate 7-9pm
Intermediate-Advanced 5-7pm

Sunday 30th of July:
Beginner 4-6pm
Beginner-Intermediate 2-4pm
Intermediate-Advanced 4-6pm
