Day 1 - Saturday 5th May:
Depart Melbourne and travel through the surfing town of Anglesea for morning tea. Begin our journey along the beautiful Great Ocean Road, enjoying the stunning scenery of the famous coastline. A short stop at Kennett River lets you do some koala spotting and listen to the abundant birdlife before we break for Lunch (included) in Apollo bay. We stop to admire the amazing 12 Apostles, before traveling to Loch Ard Gorge, where you will learn all about the history of this famous shipwreck spot before passing through the township of Port Campbell and making our way to the Grampians. Spend overnight in the Grampians and wake up to amazing views and kangaroos!
Day 2 - Sunday 6th May:
Grampians National Park, one of Victoria’s most popular holiday destinations, is an area rich in Aboriginal culture set in a beautiful and rugged ancient landscape. Embark on a walk in the National Park and take in some of the breathtaking views at Boroka and Reed’s Lookout. We then make our way to Mackenzie Falls (Or Silverband Falls) where we hike to view these stunning falls. After enjoying a fantastic day in the National Park, we make our way back to Melbourne in the afternoon arriving in the early evening.
Please remember to bring warm and comfortable clothing, sunscreen, hat, swimmers, camera, flashlight, insect repellant, towel, valid RMIT student card and cash for dinner.
