Hockey Club

Welcome to RMIT Hockey!

RMIT Hockey is a super inclusive club with Men's and Women's teams, as well as a Masters Women's team (ages 35+). We encourage beginners taking their first hockey steps to experienced players and everything in between to join in both on and off the field! With heaps of social functions this year including our annual ball, pub crawls , trivia nights, team dinners and much more.

Interested in Playing? Of course you are! We welcome new players of all standards throughout the hockey season.

No gear? No problem! We have sticks, shin pads, gloves, short corner masks and goalie gear for new players to borrow.

We currently train at Essendon Hockey Club (1 Hockey Lane, Ascot Vale), we play half of our home games at Essendon and the other half at RMIT Bundoora campus. Training is weekly and attendance is not compulsory unless you wish to play in the higher grades.

Our games are played home and away on Saturday and Sunday afternoons between April and September.

When: 

Training: Wednesday nights, 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Preseason Training for 2024 commences on Wednesday the 6th of March.

Games: Saturdays and Sundays, times vary. Games will begin the weekend of the 13th and 14th of April 2024 

Where: We train at Essendon Hockey Club located at 1 Hockey Lane, Ascot Vale. We play half of our home games at Essendon, and half of them at RMIT Bundoora. Lifts can be arranged for training and games by contacting hockey.club@rmit.edu.au

Competitions: The Winter season begins Mid April and finishes MidSeptember. Games are on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
